Appostolo is a newsletter about faith, technology and formation — part theological journey, part build-in-public.

Dan is picking the pen back up, this time asking not just how we use new technology to share Jesus, but how we use it wisely — integrating it into our lives in a way that actually forms us in Christ. Join him as he writes about prayer, worship, discipleship and mission in an age of fast-changing technology.

This is for you if you’re a Christian who works in or around technology — or simply someone trying to think carefully about faith in a world that’s changing faster than our discipleship habits can keep up with. No easy answers, just an honest attempt to hold theology and technology together.

Who are you?

Dan Lee lives just outside London, on the Hampshire–Surrey border. After over a decade working in science and innovation, he now runs a small design and development studio. His interest in faith and technology goes back to 2007, when writing on the subject led to an internship with the Bible Society of New Zealand in his early twenties.

He’s also building his own prayer app as a side project — a live case study in what it looks like to build technology for spiritual formation, rather than just engagement.

Why subscribe?

The conversation about faith and AI is moving fast — and it’s mostly happening without theological depth, or without technical literacy. Appostolo is one attempt to hold both.

Subscribe to get every edition straight to your inbox, and follow along as Dan builds a prayer app in public — sharing what works, what doesn’t, and what it teaches about forming faith through technology rather than just using it.
